Love and Attraction

You may see these terms and not understand what I’m trying to get at with them. Two different words and each with their own meaning but somehow easily confused with one another.

I reflect back on my last relationship and what I thought was full blown love was nothing more than a mutual attraction. I WAS in love with that person but I now find myself questioning how much that person supposedly loved me.

Engaged, together for more than two years, we had plans to be together. I had plans to make a life, a living, with this being. To have that desire taken away from me so abruptly has destroyed me emotionally. I found it hard to look at someone and believe that person wants something deeper and meaningful. I longed for love but love hasn’t found me yet.

We can’t confuse love with attraction but we can and should be able to couple them together. There is always an attraction if you love someone but what if that person is only attracted to you? What kind of attraction? Physical? Mental? Emotional? Sexual?

A balance between both needs to be met to be able to coincide. At least that’s what I believe.

The End Is Near

Don’t read to deep into it. I’m just pointing out the end of this year and the biginning of a New Year. Isn’t it exciting?! We’re all making our New Year’s resolutions and some of us have already started. I know I have.

I’ve been a pretty depressed guy lately and now it’s time to just LET GO. I’m going to go to the gym more than before. To be honest, I never really went to the gym until recently. I’m gonna eat right, go back to school, and find me someone to love and appreciate me the way I’m supposed to be loved and appreciated. In return, I’ll make sure to TRY to love and appreciate you in the same way .

Yes, I tend to be a clown but I know when to switch it off… most of the time.

New Year is just around the corner. Good luck to everyone and if I don’t see or hear from you: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

A Little Bit of Me

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Rey, not RAY, but REY. It’s pronounced in the same fashion but it’s short for the Spanish name of Reyes. I’m a young guy trying to make change happen all around me. Well, not as much as I could possibly do, for example, I didn’t vote in this super election of ours but as long as others did I hope that their choices help shape our nation. Well, that’s about as much as I will say about myself. I’m probably going to transfer all my original blogs from my myspace.com account over to this one as soon as I find the time. Time is always against us… No, I’m just lazy. Thanks for reading!
